Ed Corrigan shafted by Dion and Liberal Party who blocked his nomination in London-Fanshawe

MANY OF US Alt-Londoners know Ed Corrigan. Some of you, like me, may have spent hours arguing with him. But in the end, I've always respected his guts and honesty.

But there's no room for someone with spontaneous courage and plain-talk in politics. That's what I thought.

So, when Ed Corrigan decided to make a bid for the Liberal nomination in London-Fanshawe, I wondered what would happen. Surely, I naively mused, the Liberals would allow him to have a fair hearing. I thought the corrupt internal elite of the Liberal party would not be allowed to muzzle him. But, once again I was wrong.

Corrigan was stopped from running for the nomination. The foreign-controlled internal elite that has hijacked the former Canadian Liberal party could not say "we're afraid of Ed's opinions getting a public hearing."

Instead they said they didn't approve of his choice of words to express his opinions. Nice shell game. [View reasons for rejection starting on page 2 of this document]

Meanwhile that serves the cosmetic game of Dion and his advisers who say they can get back the "women's vote" if they have more women candidates.

Hey guys, listen to this scoop! I'm a woman and I know that women lie, cheat, sneak, deceive, shrink in cowardice, strive in greed and lust after the things they should not covet just as much as any man does. So, where's the logic of more women?

OK. I remember. It's like the playground games. Equal numbers of boys agin' the girls. That's how peace, order and good government will be achieved. Did it work in the playground? Will it work in that other playground at the top of the hill, you know "Parliament Hill"?

So, for those who agree that it is wrong to subvert, circumvent, or interrupt the most basic of democratic procedures, ie., the selection of who speaks for us in our government, the nomination of a candidate, here's a letter I've written to Mr. Stephane Caspar Milquetoast Dion.

Subject: "...no good cause shall lack a champion and no wrong shall thrive unopposed."

Mr. Dion,

I would like to thank you for proving me right. The Liberal Party of Canada is dead.

Your wishy-washy nature has been revealed and you've succumbed to the game of gender numbers as you've forced upon the London-Fanshawe riding another mediocre woman candidate (Sue Barnes is enough, already!). Meanwhile, you've barricaded the doors of free speech and democracy to a candidate who has been a "knight" for both liberalism and the Liberal party for decades -- Ed Corrigan.

I have said for years that the heart of the Liberal party is rotten. I briefly shared in the wishful thinking that arose when you were elected leader, Mr. Dion. Shortly afterward, your weaknesses were exposed, and you have since affirmed repeatedly that you are ripe for manipulation by the rotten internal elite that has destroyed the liberalism of the party that masquerades as the former Canadian Liberal party.

But in this shambles that was begun by your predecessors, and that you've now completed, I have the opportunity to say "I told you so". Mr. Dion, you are a foolish man and you and your party will pay the price in the next election.

Competence, like water, seeks its own level. You have accepted as your advisors and public relations shamans the worst of those who circle your little tent. Shame on you, Mr. Dion.

"...no good cause shall lack a champion and no wrong shall thrive unopposed." I recently read that quote and thought of the tragic loss of Canadian sovereignty, and the more tragic failure of your inaction and weakness. You could restore Canadian freedoms and integrity. But you're more likely to end up a footnote in history that will be one of ridicule, if it is noted at all.

If Quebec's Caspar Milquetoast can find his spine and his moral fortitude, he will assert wisdom and good judgment. Follow that with the courage to call a second, legitimate nomination meeting for London-Fanshawe and you may earn your title of "leader" and possibly, someday, even be called Prime Minister.

London's own "L"iberals, be they some of the executive or its two MPs, are a shameful example of the fraudulence of today's Liberal party. You sit now, precariously, as the Humpty Dumpty on the national level.

Nonetheless, I still wish to be proven wrong about you and the Liberal party. Assert your authority; defend democracy and the right of Liberals to exercise their rights as Canadians to both hold opinions, and choose their own legitimate words to express their opinions; and in those words to champion a good cause and ensure that no wrong shall thrive under your leadership.

Call another, legitimate, nomination meeting for London-Fanshawe.
